Nurture WV is a community-rooted initiative dedicated to strengthening families and building protective, trauma-informed communities across West Virginia. Founded by Leah Peck, BSW—a former foster parent and advocate with years of experience supporting children and families impacted by Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)—Nurture WV was created in response to the overwhelming challenges caregivers face when navigating complex, often isolating systems alone.

Currently operating as a sole proprietorship with plans to transition into a nonprofit, Nurture WV believes in the power of lived experience, peer connection, and community-based solutions. Our mission is to help every parent, caregiver, and child feel supported, seen, and surrounded by a village that nurtures resilience and generational healing.
